Supporting Communities has been at the forefront of digital skills training throughout Northern Ireland, working in partnership with the Department of Finance's Digital Inclusion Unit since 2012, playing an integral role in the achievements of their Digital Transformation Programme.

 

Supporting Communities is also an approved supplier for the UK Digital Training and Support Framework.

Advanced Zoom

Want to run your own Zoom events? Let’s look at some of the more ‘advanced’ features that Zoom provides.

This session will help you to:

- Understand how to schedule a meeting and invite participants
- Apply the settings to make your meeting secure
- Learn about some of the features you can use in the free subscription plan like chat messages, polls, screen sharing, and breakout rooms
- Ask all your Zoom related questions!

Need some help with email? We can take you some email basics to improve your confidence.

Participants will learn to:

- Send an email
- Include attachments
- Use folders to stay organised
- Get rid of spam and phishing emails

Whatever email provider you use, come along and get your questions answered!

This session is designed as a practical guide for those who are new to Zoom and are keen to learn more about how you can participate fully.

This short session aims to raise awareness of the various types of scams one might encounter online.
Participants will learn practical hints and tips on how to stay safe!

We will look at:

- Examples of common scams
- How and where to report scams
- Where to go for up-to-date information
- Practical tips to protect yourself

This is an basic skills level digital inclusion course to help tenants get started using a new phone, tablet or laptop.
